A historical and gourmet tour along the Big Dipper path that winds around the castle

Come take a walk with a guide who specializes in Chiba City.

In this tour, visitors will explore seven famous spots created in honor of the seven stars in the Big Dipper believed in by the Chiba family, the founders of Chiba City, complete with guide commentary.

After the historical walk, the tour will conclude with enjoying local Chiba dishes while listening to traditional Japanese “Tsugaru shamisen” music.

Note Part of the course has stairs and other uneven surfaces, so those in wheelchairs or using strollers may wish to refrain from visiting. Will be canceled during inclement weather. In the event of cancelation, visitors will be contacted no later than 5pm on the prior day.

  • (1) Select your favorite plan from our 9 special plans.
  • (2) Go to reservation form. http://onionworld.jp/reserve/
  •   *Registration is only available on this form.
  • (3) Fill in and send the details for registration.
  • (4) You will receive an email with the name and phone number of your guide 2 days before the day of your reservation.
  • (5) On the day of your reservation, please go to the designated meeting spot 15 minutes before your reservation.
  • (6) Please pay the fees in Japanese yen when you arrive on the day of your reservation.

Please arrive at the location for every plan at least 15 minutes early.
Please be ready to pay your participation fees on-site.

FAQ

Q: Can I make a reservation when a plan is already full?
A: Yes, you can. If someone cancels, your reservation will then already be in place.
Q: Are there any cancelation fees?
A:No, there aren’t.
However, canceling can greatly inconvenience the other participants, so please refrain from doing so unless it’s really necessary.
Q: Do I get something if I make a reservation?
A:No, we don’t use tickets or anything like that.
Q: Can I pay in advance?
A:No, I’m afraid not. All plans must be paid in cash on site.

There is a possibility that each plan may be photographed.
Please be aware that you may end up being photographed as well.
